Apenheul

Did you know that Apenheul was the first primate park in the world where apes and monkeys can walk around freely and mingle with visitors? The park was founded by photographer Wim Mager who kept two tamarins at home in the 1960’s but they quickly multiplied.

Today the park is home to more than 25 different species of primates like chimps, orang utans, lemurs and dozens of cheeky squirrel monkeys.
