Did you know that incarcerated gangster Willem Holleeder (born 1958) tries to stop the release of a movie about the kidnapping of Heineken’s president? Holleeder and his gang kidnapped Freddy Heineken and his chauffeur in 1983 and demanded for millions of ransom. They were held captive for weeks, before being freed by police. The hearing for the case is scheduled for 20 October, one week before the premiere of the movie ‘De Heineken Ontvoering” starring Rutger Hauer.
