Did you know that windmill De Noord in Schiedam is the highest classic windmill (33.3m) in the world?
Today De Noord houses a restaurant but back in the days it serviced Schiedam’s gin-making industry.
In 2006 the Nolet Distillery built another windmill nearby, which is 9m taller and used as the reception area for their free distillery tours.
