Since the introduction of the Euro in 2002, some people still convert prices into old fashioned guilders (‘gulden’ in Dutch). They claim that prices have increased, if not doubled, since the arrival of the Euro. Political party PVV wants to reintroduce the guilder. The value of 1 guilder is €0,45.
